Job description

One of Ireland's leading OEMs is looking to appoint a Commercial Accountant to help drive strategy within the aftersales division of this iconic brand. Having a thorough operational understanding of the automotive business, you will be a qualified Accountant and an aftersales profitability specialist.

This position involves working with the central finance department and the Brand Director in the development of aftersales strategy, policy and plans for the business and taking full responsibility for the delivery of financial results.

The Role:

  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual results, budget and forecasts and communication of same locally and to international HQ
  • Responsible for accurate and efficient management of marketing and tactical budgets and all factory support due to the brand
  • Acting as a Finance Business Partner to the Brand Director, providing guidance on the brand’s financial situation and recommending possible actions to improve financial performance
  • Assessing, recommending and approving all departmental expenses, identifying potential problem areas and opportunities and advising on them
  • Ensuring all credit and debit notes issued within the department are accurate and properly accounted for
  • Active involvement in all internal processes and ensuring compliance with internal control procedures


  • The ability to deliver change within an OEM environment
  • Highly knowledgeable in terms of developing a national aftersales strategy
  • Fully qualified Financial Accountant
  • Highly strategic financial skills
  • An analytical mindset
  • Commercial awareness with excellent planning and organising skills
  • Effective presentation skills with a relentless attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of SAP/ Module CO an advantage
  • Knowledge of German an advantage but not required
