Dealer Principal Designate

Job description

A franchise dealership in the Midlands is searching for a Dealer Principal Designate to develop its retail operation. This is a non-selling role and you will be responsible for coaching, supporting and encouraging the sales team to achieve results.


The Role:

  • Lead the Sales Department and execute business development strategies including processes and follow-up procedures
  • Develop a high performance used car sales strategy for the business
  • Improve operations to achieve all metrics governing performance including CSS, sales and revenue
  • Ensure high CSI and delivery standards are conducted to achieve manufacturer guidelines
  • Develop sales and marketing plans and budgets to achieve agreed financial, marketing and sales benchmarks
  • Cultivate relationships with partnering financial institutions and key stakeholders
  • Provide coaching and training to sales staff to improve job performance

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience operating at Sales Manager/ General Manager or Dealer Principal level with a franchise dealership
  • Proven ability to train, motivate and manage an automotive sales team
  • Intrinsic knowledge of automotive KPIs and CRM and DMS systems
