General Sales Manager

Job description

We are working with a renowned franchise dealership in Limerick who are looking to hire a General Sales Manager (non-selling). This is a key appointment for the business, already highly established in the Limerick region with a large customer base and a top 3 franchise. This role may suit someone who is looking to relocate to the Limerick area and who wants to enjoy the lifestyle Ireland's mid-west region has to offer.


The Role:

  • Creating the annual dealership sales forecasts by estimating total vehicle sales, gross and operating profits as well as expenses for the new-and-used sales departments
  • Manage a team of high-performing Sales Executives
  • Set clear goals for the sales team to achieve targeted performance in new and used vehicle sales, F&I product sales and overall sales profit
  • Train, coach and support the sales team to ensure the highest levels of customer experience, acquisition and retention
  • Work directly with the management on making recommendations on both short and long-range advertising plans, sales promotions, staffing needs, lease promotions and compensation plans
  • Develop innovative marketing strategies to support 2019 sales campaigns
  • Responsible for sourcing and buying used vehicles 
  • Direct point of contact with the vehicle manufacturer

Requirements

  • 3+ years franchise dealer Sales Management experience
  • 5+ years car sales experience
  • Highly process-driven in areas of lead generation and KPI tracking
  • Successful sales team coaching experience
  • Demonstrable understanding of innovative marketing initiatives
  • Used car valuation capabilities
  • Highly IT literate
