HR Manager - 3 Day Week

Job description

Our client is a large dealership group with sites throughout the West of Ireland. They are looking to create the role of HR Manager for the first time within the business. You will have the possibility of developing the HR strategy for the business and join one of the Irish Motor Industry's leading companies. Primarily based in Ballina but will be required to travel to sites in Sligo and Galway.


The Role:

  • Ensure that the HR function operates in line with best practise and current legislation
  • Create and update policies and procedures in line with legislative changes and company needs
  • Assist line managers in implementing policies and procedures
  • Recruit staff including developing job descriptions, role specifications and preparing job adverts
  • Advise on salary and other remunerations issue including promotion and benefits
  • Interpret and advise on employment law updates
  • Deal with grievances and implementing disciplinary procedures
  • Planning and sometimes delivering training including induction for new staff
  • Analysing training needs in conjunction with line managers
  • Ensure accurate reports are produced and communicated
  • Management and delivery of HR projects

Requirements

  • Thorough and up-to-date knowledge of Irish employment legislation
  • Excellent communication, diplomatic and organisational skills
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar HR Role
  • Relevant 3rd level and/or recognised HR qualifications essential, such as CIPD
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Good IT skills
