Start Monday is delighted to be recruiting an Area Aftersales Performance Manager on behalf of a leading automotive manufacturer based in Dublin.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a major OEM and work closely with an established nationwide network of franchised dealerships, helping dealer partners to improve aftersales performance, increase profitability and deliver consistently high standards of customer service.
The position would particularly suit an experienced Service Manager, Aftersales Manager or Fixed Operations Manager from a busy franchised dealership who is ready to take the next step in their career and move into an OEM-level role.
As Area Aftersales Performance Manager, you will manage and support a portfolio of franchised dealerships, acting as a key link between the manufacturer and its dealer network.
Rather than directly managing individual dealership operations, your role will be to challenge, support and develop dealer aftersales teams, identifying opportunities to improve commercial performance, operational processes and customer retention.
Key responsibilities will include:
Managing relationships with a designated portfolio of franchised dealerships
Working closely with Dealer Principals, General Managers, Aftersales Managers, Service Managers and Parts Managers
Reviewing dealership aftersales performance and identifying opportunities for improvement
Helping dealerships increase service and parts profitability
Analysing key aftersales KPIs, trends and performance data
Developing dealership-specific action plans and following through on agreed improvements
Supporting improvements in workshop productivity, efficiency and utilisation
Reviewing labour sales, parts performance, retention and customer-pay opportunities
Helping dealerships improve customer retention and workshop loading
Supporting implementation of manufacturer aftersales programmes, processes and standards
Identifying operational weaknesses and working collaboratively with dealership management to address them
Supporting customer satisfaction and customer experience initiatives
Sharing best practice across the dealer network
Supporting new product, technology and aftersales programme launches
Providing regular reporting and insight to the OEM's senior management team
Job requirements
We are particularly interested in candidates who understand the realities of running a successful dealership aftersales operation.
You may currently be working as an Aftersales or Service Manager in a main dealer.
You should be able to demonstrate:
Strong experience within automotive aftersales
Previous experience within a franchised/main dealer environment
A good commercial understanding of how dealership aftersales departments generate revenue and profit
Strong knowledge of workshop KPIs including productivity, efficiency and utilisation
An understanding of parts performance, labour sales, customer retention and warranty
The ability to interpret dealership performance data and translate it into practical actions
Strong relationship-building and influencing skills
The confidence to challenge experienced dealership management teams constructively
Excellent communication and presentation skills
A practical, solutions-focused approach to improving performance
The ability to work independently while managing a portfolio of dealer relationships
Previous OEM experience would be advantageous, but is not essential.
