Job description

Our client, a well-established and expanding franchise dealer in Cork, is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the next phase of growth. This is a key leadership role with full responsibility for both sales and aftersales performance. The successful candidate will drive commercial results, strengthen operational standards, and lead a high-performing management team across the business.

The role

  • Full P&L responsibility for the dealership

  • Lead and develop both Sales and Aftersales departments

  • Drive new and used vehicle performance in line with manufacturer and group targets

  • Improve aftersales absorption, workshop productivity, and customer retention

  • Manage and mentor departmental managers and wider team

  • Ensure strong manufacturer compliance and brand standards

  • Identify opportunities for operational improvement and business growth

  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience across all touchpoints

Job requirements

  • Proven experience as a General Manager, Dealer Principal, or senior automotive leader

  • Strong background across both sales and aftersales operations

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver commercial growth and improve profitability

  • Experience working within a franchise dealership environment

  • Strong leadership and people management capability

  • Financially and commercially astute

  • High level of professionalism and customer focus
