General Sales Manager

Job description

We are working with a franchise dealership group to hire a General Sales Manager for its high volume dealership. This is a senior appointment for the business and there is potential to progress further in the organisation.


The Role:

  • Responsible for profitability in the new and used sales departments in the dealership
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to achieve monthly and annual forecasts
  • Hire, mentor and monitor the performance of sales staff
  • Maintain superior customer service (CS) through dealership culture
  • Review KPIs daily and make necessary adjustments to increase revenue
  • Assist in developing an advertising and marketing plan
  • Work directly with employees and customers to develop relationships¬†
  • Develop rapport with customers to build a base of referrals to establish customer network
  • Provide training and support to sales department staff

Requirements

  • 5+ years sales management experience in a franchise dealership
  • Well developed leadership skills with the ability to motivate a sales team
  • Track record of achieving new and used sales targets and KPIs
