Group Financial Controller

We are working with a leading franchise dealership group in the West of Ireland to hire a Group Financial Controller. You will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, budget management and compliance while providing strategic financial guidance to optimise the dealership's performance.

The Role:

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements for the dealership group
• Consolidate financial data from multiple locations and business units
• Provide insightful analysis of financial performance and trends
• Develop annual budgets and periodic forecasts in collaboration with department heads
• Monitor and analyse budget variances, providing recommendations for improvement
• Oversee cash flow planning and ensure the availability of funds for business operations
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and company policies
• Identify and mitigate financial risks through proactive risk management strategies
• Continuously assess and enhance financial processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Implement best practices for financial controls and reporting
• Collaborate with other departments to drive cross-functional initiatives

• 5+ years experience as an Accountant with a franchise dealership
• Fully qualified with recognised industry qualification (CPA, ACCA, ACA, CIMA)
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting and cash flow management
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
