Garage Manager – HGV Workshop

Start Monday is recruiting an experienced Garage Manager to lead a busy HGV workshop within a major waste and recycling operation in Dublin.

This is a senior, hands-on management role with responsibility for a team of technicians and the maintenance and availability of a busy commercial vehicle fleet.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the workshop team

• Plan servicing, maintenance and repairs across the HGV fleet

• Maximise vehicle availability and minimise downtime

• Manage technician productivity, workflow and resources

• Ensure excellent safety, maintenance and compliance standards

• Manage workshop costs, parts and external suppliers

• Work closely with fleet and operations management

• Drive continuous improvement across the workshop

We’re looking for an experienced Garage Manager, HGV Workshop Manager, Workshop Controller or Fleet Maintenance Manager, ideally with:

• Strong experience managing technicians

• HGV or commercial vehicle workshop experience

• Excellent people and operational management skills

• A strong focus on safety, efficiency and vehicle uptime

Experience within waste, recycling, transport, logistics, bus/coach or a similar commercial fleet environment would be particularly relevant.
