Service Manager

Job description

We are working with a franchise dealership in North Dublin to hire a Service Manager. This dealership operates a successful 15 bay workshop and has maintained high levels of activity through its public service vehicle maintenance contracts. 

The Role:

  • Full responsibility for management of the workshop 
  • Manage, coach and motivate an aftersales team of 12
  • Improve workshop KPIs including utilisation, productivity and efficiency
  • Maintain a service customer follow up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction 
  • Hire and supervise all Service Department personnel, as well as monitor their performance in servicing customers 
  • Create goals and objectives for the department including operating budget and marketing plans to promote new business
  • Maintain a high Customer Service Index (CSI) rating by handling customer complaints immediately and appropriately 
  • Effectively manage public service vehicle maintenance contracts through the provision of a consistently high level of service


  • 3+ years Service Manager experience with a franchise dealer
  • Demonstrable success in improving workshop productivity and efficiency
  • Strong management skills 
  • Qualified Technician or strong technical knowledge
