Job description

We are working with a large dealership with a top 3 franchise to hire an experienced Service Manager. This is a leading dealership with a state-of-the-art workshop and a highly successful aftersales operation.


The Role:

  • Effectively manage a large Service Department with high daily throughput
  • Create objectives for the department, including annual budgets and forecasts 
  • Manage a large team of Technicians in addition to Service Advisors and Workshop management
  • Maximise Technician productivity and efficiency through coaching and development
  • Identify training needs of all aftersales staff and implement an effective upskilling programme
  • Monitor aftersales staff performance and make adjustments where necessary
  • Responsible for the Warranty function, liaising regularly with the automotive distributor
  • Ensure customers receive prompt, courteous and effective service at all times
  • Maintain a high CSI rating by handling customer complaints immediately and appropriately

Job requirements

  • 2+ years experience as a Service Manager in a large franchised dealership
  • Excellent understanding of workshop KPIs
  • Demonstrated ability to manage an aftersales team
  • Technical automotive knowledge
