Job description

We are working with a leading franchise dealership to hire an experienced Service Manager to oversee a large workshop operation. You will be responsible for managing a team of Technicians, ensuring efficient and high-quality service delivery and acting as the primary point of contact with the distributor on technical issues. 


The Role:

  • Lead and manage a large team of Technicians, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
  • Serve as the primary liaison with the automotive distributor and other partners on all technical issues, ensuring clear communication and swift resolution of any problems
  • Oversee the aftersales customer service department, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and efficient service delivery
  • Implement and maintain highly efficient processes to ensure workshop operations run smoothly and meet performance targets
  • Monitor and analyse workshop performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices, particularly in relation to Electric Vehicles, to ensure the workshop remains at the forefront of technological advancements

Job requirements

  • 3+ years proven experience in service management within a high volume workshop environment
  • Strong people management skills with the ability to lead, motivate and develop a large team
  • Experience with EVs is highly desirable.
  • Highly process-driven, with a strong focus on operational efficiency and continuous improvement
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with both internal teams and external partners
