Job description
We are hiring an experienced Used Car Manager for a prestigious premium brand at a large franchise dealership in Ireland. This non-selling role requires a deep understanding of the Irish used car market, including valuations, appraisals and trade vehicles, along with expertise in vehicle sourcing. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing sales teams within a franchise dealership environment and delivering exceptional customer service while driving team performance.
The Role:
- Oversee the daily operations of the used car department, ensuring maximum profitability.
- Manage and maintain the highest standards for used car inventory, meeting both dealership and manufacturer requirements.
- Conduct accurate appraisals and valuations for trade-ins, ensuring appropriate pricing strategies.
- Collaborate with the marketing department on campaigns and promotional activities.
- Monitor and manage pricing strategies to ensure competitiveness in the market.
- Assist in sourcing vehicles for inventory, ensuring the best options for trade vehicles.
- Support the sales team in achieving targets, providing coaching and guidance to maximize performance.
- Ensure exceptional customer service throughout the used car sales process.
Job requirements
- Proven experience in managing a sales team within a franchise dealership environment.
- Excellent understanding of the used car market, including valuations, appraisals and trade vehicle management
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive a team towards achieving targets
- Proficiency in CRM systems to manage sales and stock effectively
- Full, clean driver’s license
