Workshop Manager

We are hiring a Workshop Manager on behalf of large HGV franchise dealership in Dublin. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a busy workshop, ensuring the efficient and effective maintenance and repair of its fleet of commercial vehicles.

The Role:

• Manage and supervise a team of Technicians, providing guidance and support as needed
• Plan and schedule maintenance and repair work, ensuring that all vehicles are serviced in a timely manner
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of the workshop team, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary training 
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for all staff
• Manage inventory of spare parts and equipment, ensuring availability and minimising downtime
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate vehicle maintenance and repair activities
• Prepare reports and maintain records of workshop activities, including maintenance schedules, repairs, and costs

• 2+ years experience as a Workshop Manager/Supervisor with a franchise HGV workshop
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate a team
• Relevant HGV Technician qualification
• Excellent technical diagnostic and repair knowledge
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
